Earlier this month I PR’ed in the Country Road Run 5 Miler. It’s unclear how well I would have done had Greta (pictured on left in all the photos below) would not have became my running buddy for more than half that race. Her friend also joined us toward the end and we had fun gabbing and running. They are both juniors in high school and were “taking it easy” during this run. Well, ha, they helped my PR! This was my 5 mile PR of 49:49 / 9:58 pace.
I gave more information about MCRRC in my spring race post, but want to another reason why MCRRC is so awesome? Free photos! The photographer on the course is so fun too – he talks to you and plays music out of his car. He snapped these photos of us and they are really great! The website lets your save the photos for your own use as well. So amazing and much appreciated!
