Start Clean 2013: Sponsor Appreciation – Part 1!

The prizes for #StartClean2013 are made possible by some amazing companies that I personally know and have worked with. Today I’d like to share more information about each of these companies, so you can get to know them better too!

I’m splitting the appreciation into two posts, so part 1 will include information about these sponsors: Commitment Day, Champion USA, Fit Approach, Sparkly Soul, Kay’s Naturals, Healthy Bites, and pv.Body.

Commitment Day

The first ever Commitment Day was celebrated on January 1, 2013 with a coast-to-coast 5K across 25+ cities. More than a resolution, Commitment Day’s celebration praised those making a commitment to live a healthy lifestyle, while inspiring others to do the same. The Commitment Day movement is produced by Lifetime Fitness, who also made a giveaway possible for 5 lucky #StartClean2013 participants. I can’t thank them enough for hosting such a fun giveaway to kickstart this health challenge. I’m putting together a post with a paragraph and picture from the giveaway winners, so we will all get to learn a little bit more about their Commitment Day experience!

Champion USA

I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Champion line Target stores carry called C9. The C9 line kickstarted my obsession with Champion workout gear and I’m thrilled to have them on board as a sponsor! They’ve graciously offered up 20+ sports bras as prizes! I’m so excited that many #StartClean2013 participants will have the opportunity to try some new, cute, and support gear after the challenge ends. We workout harder when we look cute, right?

Fit Approach

Fit Approach is a healthy community aimed toward women of all ages and stages of life. Started by cousins, Jamie and Alyse, they believe that kicking bootay is best done in pink shoe laces. To help spread the message that women can sweat and look good while doing it, the term #SweatPink was born. Through this, Sweat Pink Ambassadors were created, and I am fortunate enough to find myself among an incredible community of ladies.

Weekly winners will all receive snazzy pink shoelaces to call their own. The grand prize winner will also receive a tote, tank, button, along with the laces. If you’re local to San Francisco, please also peruse through the fitness classes Jamie and Alyse offer.

Sparkly Soul

I learned of Sparkly Soul about a year ago through my FitFluential friends. I even had the opportunity to review a thin (3/8 inch) and wide (5/8 inch) band. {Review of Sparkly Soul Headbands.} These bands are amazing. Not only are the stylish, they are non-slip and don’t give you a headache. I wear my headbands all the time, whether it’s to work out or just sparkle up a casual outfit.

Kay’s Naturals

I had to look back into my posts to see when I first learned about Kay’s Naturals – over a year and a half ago! Back then Kay’s reached out to me on Twitter after learning I was gluten-free. They sent my a sample box of goodies and I was able to review their products. {Review of Kay’s Naturals.} Their products are high in protein, gluten free, and the snack packs have approximately 100 calories each. It can be hard to find a packaged snack that you feel good about eating when you are decreasing processed foods out of your diet, but Kay’s is trying hard to deliver a snack that we still feel good about eating.

Healthy Bites

Created by my friend, Lindsay Cotter of Cotter Crunch, these Healthy Bites are the perfect snack for many occasions! She has four functional flavor types: a fuel, fiber, recovery, and goodie. All bites are gluten-free and minimally processed. Vegan, paleo, and other allergy friendly bites are available through custom orders – she also does flavor custom order! I’ve personally tried her Muddy Buddy Mocha (without the Mocha) and the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip special she had for November – they were both extremely delicious!
