Thank you to everyone who has texted me over the last couple days during hurricane Sandy. Our area was extremely lucky and we honestly didn’t feel like we were in hurricane weather. It rained and it was windy, but it wasn’t the worse weather John and I have experienced. My heart goes out to those who were affected greatly by the storm and I can’t even imagine the process of picking up the pieces.
John was off work both Monday and Tuesday and since we didn’t have so much of a light flicker in our house, it was full on family time. We had so much Xander time, did home workouts, worked on online projects, and more! Yesterday afternoon we even drove around briefly to see how the rest of the neighborhood faired. (Saw a couple road signs down but no trees). We then stopped at the grocery store. It was completely deserted and we scored an amazing deal on some meats that were going to expire today.
Today John is back to work and I’m hanging out with a little tiger… er, I mean Xander. I’ll be back later with Halloween pictures of the babe!
For now, leaving you a picture of our family (that wasn’t taken during the storm); I just thought it was cute and haven’t shared it on the blog.
Prayers to all those picking up the pieces…
