Best Body Bootcamp!

Guess what!? This past week kicked off the start to Best Body Bootcamp round 3! My friend Tina organizes BBB and I’ve been wanting to participate ever since her first round! Unfortunately, I was very pregnant during round 1 and during round 2, I just wasn’t ready to start something like this. But now, at 7 months postpartum, after regaining a lot of my fitness back, I’m ready to get even fitter!

This past week of workouts have been awesome and my body has been feeling that “good hurt” feeling that I haven’t felt in awhile! Including regular workouts with weights has been my weakness and it’s my hope that by doing this 8 week program, that I will include weights afterward as well.

Tina sets the program up so nicely and our first two weeks of the program include a lot of foundation work that we can build on in the coming weeks. There’s been stability work… core work… and omg how am I ever going to learn that move work. Just kidding. But there have been a few moves that leave me with a lot of room for improving.

For example, the scorpion in workout A and the push-ups with leg up in workout B, are very challenging for me. We’ll see what’s in store during workout C tomorrow! I modified this first week’s schedule so I could have this past Monday and Tuesday as rest days after the Army Ten Miler.

I’ve shown John a few of the moves too and he’s incorporated a few into his workout as well! Plus, Xander finds it pretty fun watching us workout… it’s going to be so fun when he workouts out right beside me!

Good luck to all the fellow Best Body Bootcamp participants! I’m having a blast!

Have you ever participated in a bootcamp!?

I agree with scorpion, I had to modify the move because it was just a little too challenging for me.

It makes me so glad that you’re liking it! And I love how in awe he looks of his daddy in that picture. Xander is so cute!

I’ve never done a boot camp but it’s totally right up my alley!
