Just One Run Left!

Hard to believe that after completing one more run on Thursday, I’ll be racing in my very first big DC race – the Army Ten Miler – on Sunday. After getting anxious about race day logistics this morning and then realizing the weather was nice outside, it was time to take little man outside for a run.

Normally, John is the jogging stroller pusher, so I was interested to see how I would do on today’s run. I’ve certainly pushed X during runs before, but this was before he was an 18-pound growing boy!

We completed 3.25 miles in 35:31 minutes, for a pace of 10:54. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the stats! These numbers are similar and even better than some of the numbers than when I run by myself! I think this little bear and I are going to have a new tradition a couple times a week!

We were a mile away from home and walked back in ~15 minutes. It was a perfect time together and now he’s currently cuddled asleep on my chest while I’m typing this. Ahh, the life of a baby!

If you have any experience traveling with a baby/stroller on the DC Metro during an extremely busy time, please leave any tips you may have for me! Thanks!

We Love to Hear From You
