Saturday Style: Old Navy Maternity

I was really hoping to post about my maternity clothing while I was pregnant, but alas, things don’t always go according to plan! My first couple Saturday style posts will be about maternity wear, but we’ll see where this series goes after that!

I hadn’t experienced Old Navy maternity clothes until I received three shirts from my best friend Caity, for Christmas. She said the website said to order your pre-pregnancy size, so she ordered all mediums. They all worked like a charm! After I knew Old Navy shirts fit me so well, I ordered four more when they were on clearance.

Old Navy Maternity

Items 1, 2, and 3 are the shirts Caity gave me for Christmas. She said she looked at the customer’s ratings and these were the top picks! I definitely have to agree! I thought each shirt was very flattering and fit very well. They were very comfortable and well made.

Item 4 is a simple long sleeved tee shirt that I got a lot of wear out of. I also have it in black.

Item 5 is exactly like item 3. I figured since I loved the once Caity gave me so much, I might as well have it in a second color.

Item 6 is the once shirt I could probably do without. It’s a waffle shirt and while it fit, it was always on the tighter side. Maybe it was the light color of the shirt, but I always felt bigger in this shirt.

I wore all of these shirts during my third trimester. I’m sure I’ll wear them prior to my third trimester during my second pregnancy now that I have them.

I definitely recommend Old Navy maternity clothes! I know it’s a little nerve-wracking ordering online instead of trying them on in a store… at least you can always return them if they don’t work out!

What brands of clothing did you wear while pregnant?

i was the total opposite of you in that i was in maternity clothes very early – pants by ~17 weeks and tops by 20! but luckily i stayed in those same sizes until the end (or i can assume now at 39.5 weeks :) ). i wore a LOT of gap maternity and also got a few things at pea in the pod + online. some of what i wore were hand-me-downs from my sister-in-law, which was great. i also had a sweater from old navy that i loved!

Currently I’ve been wearing a lot of Gap because I have found ridiculous sales in our Baby Gap (which has the Gap Maternity in it). I also have some target and some Old Navy (non-maternity)

I tend to agree on waffle material, generally, anyway! I always feel like I look bigger. Illusion maybe ;-) Cute pics, and I def would get maternity clothes there too…ya know, one day ;-)
