Pregnancy Soup

During a few weeks of my first trimester, I literally had no appetite but knew I needed to eat for baby. I ate a lot of soup during this time — including this one below!

Pregnancy Soup

Ingredients

  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Onion
  • Noodles
  • Chicken Broth
  • Spinach
  • Garlic Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Dice up carrots, celery, and onion. Place in a big pot. Lightly saute before adding chicken broth. Add desired spices to chicken broth. Allow chicken broth to warm and vegetables to cook while boiling a pot of noodles.
  2. Once noodles are thoroughly cooked, place a serving in a bowl and add broth/vegetable mixture. (I like to keep the broth separate from the noodles since I make rice for this on another day to eat with the broth/veggie mixture.)
  3. Right before eating, stuff a bunch of spinach into your soup and allow spinach to wilt slightly before eating.
  4. Enjoy!!

What food(s) always made you feel better when you were pregnant?
