Chevy Blogger Appreciation Lunch

Volunteering at the Cleveland Foodbank was a lot of fun last week. The foodbank appreciates volunteers, the Ohio Blogging Association loves getting together, and Chevy NEO enjoys giving back to the community. Because of all these things, Chevy hosted an nice appreciation lunch this past Saturday.

A group of five of us, including three Chevy girls, met at Aladdin’s Eatery for good food and good conversation.

I hadn’t been to an Aladdin’s since I’ve been gluten-free… two years without their amazing baba is WAY too long. I was pleased they had allergen information readily available and chose the lamb chop salad with tahini yogurt dressing. We also ordered a sample platter as an appetizer for the table with a veggie plate on the side.

Conversation flowed easily and steadily as we talked about our lives, blogging, Chevy, the foodbank, running, events in the area, and more. When you get a group of bloggers together there is always an instant bond between us!

In attendance was Amanda from Clue into Cleveland, Sarah from Cooker Girl, Valerie from Project Mommy and Ohio Wino, meeeee, and Alicia from Poise in Parma.

After finishing our lunch, our amazing server Janette took us on a journey through the dessert case.

We ordered dessert to go, chatted more at our table, and then enjoyed the rest of the sunny Saturday doing whatever we needed to go! This included a very important three-hour nap for me.

Thank you Chevy for a very nice lunch!!!

Please remember, the Harvest for Hunger Campaign is happening until April 23rd. Harvest for Hunger is one of the largest annual, community-wide food and funds drive in the nation. Harvest for Hunger dollars donated in your community, stay in your community. Chevy is currently donating $ to the Harvest for Hunger campaign with every new facebook like they receive — please go like their page to help in raising funds!

Have you ever been to an Aladdin’s Eatery??

Their desserts always look sooooo good. Thankfully I fill up on the Hummus (with a side of hot sauce) and skip dessert.

  2. 2

Their hummus is to die for! And Jay gets takeout from their all the time since it’s right down the street from our house.
Sorry I missed the meetup – looks like it was fun!

  3. 3

I love their hummus too!! I used to frequent that Aladdin’s when I worked over off Pleasant Valley Rd.

So sorry to have missed the Foodbank Volunteer Night (and the Chevy lunch). Ugh, how life interrupts your best intentions. :) Thanks for the write-ups, it was fun to read.

Never even heard of Aladdin’s. Looks tasty though! Can’t wait until we have our own meet-up. Less than 8 weeks! :)

We Love to Hear From You
