The Brownies That Weren’t

I was experimenting. I was creating. I was substituting. I was substituting way too many ingredients. I was hoping….

…I was let down.

I have had FANTASTIC luck with creating gluten baked goodies while keeping the fat content under control — these, however, look amazing and tasted terrible. I’m going to give them one more try — using a different ingredient for one of the fat replacers — hopefully it’ll work!

Do you consider yourself a baker? How do you feel when a creation doesn’t work out the way you hoped?

Ahhh I HATE it when that happens! I do consider myself a baker and I get personally upset if something I bake doesn’t taste good. I usually continue to remake it till it does ;)

Oh yes. I’ve had many failed attempts at baking and for the same reason: trying to substitute too many ingredients. I’ve found that only subbing 1 or 2 is your best bet. I yet to consider myself a baker, but like with my running, it’s coming along :)

My baking creations rarely turn out how I want… probably mostly because I don’t always follow the recipe. HA! I usually take a little too much liberty with adding my own twist on it. But I love to bake!

Oh goodness, I am such a horrible baker. It seems like every time I try at least one thing goes wrong. I can’t imagine what would happen if I tried to bake gluten-free!
